This privacy policy discloses the privacy practices of the D’Amelio Network LLC (also referred herein as “D’Amelio Network”) and www.damelionetwork.com (“Site”). Please read our privacy policy carefully to get a clear understanding of how we collect, use, protect or otherwise handle your personal information in accordance with our Site. 

ABOUT US 

D’Amelio Network is a speaker management firm that manages a select group of experts who speak on topics of interest to business audiences. Our core work is to help people who plan events understand what’s unique about our speakers and leverage their experience, insights, and talents to create successful outcomes for the audience. 

USE OF INFORMATION 

D’Amelio Network only has access to/collects personal information from you when you subscribe to our blog/newsletter, fill out our contact form or enter information on our Site, email with us, telephone, or by direct contact. You may be asked to provide personal information, such as your name, title, organization, email address, telephone number, and/or facsimile number. The personal information collected will only be used by the D’Amelio Network to provide you with information about the Speakers we manage, deliver the services that we offer, contact you regarding your specific request(s), assist you with selection of one of the Speakers we manage for an event, and/or direct email/mail. 

Individuals who are residents of the European Economic Area (EEA) can object to processing of their personal information, ask to restrict processing of their personal information or request portability of their personal information. INFORMATION DISCLOSURE 

D’Amelio Network is the sole owner of information collected on this Site. The only personal information we have access to/collect is the information you voluntarily provide to us. The personal information is only used internally, and we will not disclose your personal information to any third-party outside of our organization (with exception of our Speakers, Speakers’ staff, travel vendors, contractors, service providers, and other third parties we use to support our business – so long as those parties agree to keep this personal information confidential), other than as necessary to fulfill your request, conduct our business, and deliver the services that we offer. We will not sell or rent your personal information to anyone. 

Notwithstanding our privacy policy, D’Amelio Network may disclose personal information in special cases: (1) when we have reason to believe that disclosing this information is necessary to identify, contact, or bring legal action against someone who may be causing injury to or interference with (either intentionally or unintentionally) the rights of the D’Amelio Network or to anyone that could be harmed by such activities; (2) when we believe in good faith that the law requires it; (3) to any third-party who may acquire D’Amelio Network, and (4) in situations involving threats to the physical safety of any person. 

REVIEWING AND CORRECTING YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION

This information is provided free of charge. You can opt-out of any future contact from us at any time or request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. PROTECTING YOUR DATA 

We take appropriate and reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal information from loss, misuse, unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction, taking into account the risks involved in the processing and the nature of the personal information; however, we cannot guarantee the security of your personal information transmitted through our Site or over email. Our servers and offices are located in the United States, so your personal information may be transferred to, stored, or processed in the United States. As such, your personal data is processed by staff operating outside the European Economic Area (EEA).

WEBSITE ANALYTICS 

We use Google Analytics and HubSpot, which are web analytics tools that help us understand how users engage with our Site. Like many services, Google Analytics and HubSpot use first-party cookies to track user interactions, where they are used to collect information about how users use our website. This information is used to compile reports and to help us improve our websites. The reports disclose website trends without identifying individual visitors.

This Site contains links to other sites and may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other sites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other site. Please be aware that we are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of such other sites. COMMITMENT TO CHILDREN’S PRIVACY 

Our website is not generally intended for use by children under the age of 13 and the D’Amelio Network does not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children in this age group. If we become aware that a user under the age of 13 has registered with the website or otherwise provided personal information to us, or is attempting to do so, we will notify the user that he or she is not eligible for registration or to submit personal information. We will then immediately and permanently remove any of his or her personally identifiable information from our records. 

Fair Information Practices 

The Fair Information Practices Principles form the backbone of privacy law in the United States and the concepts they include have played a significant role in the development of data protection laws around the globe. Understanding the Fair Information Practice Principles and how they should be implemented is critical to comply with the various privacy laws that protect personal information. 

In order to be in line with Fair Information Practices we will take the following responsive action, should a data breach occur, we will notify the users via email within 72 hours. 

We also agree to the Individual Redress Principle, which requires that individuals have a right to pursue legally enforceable rights against data collectors and processors who fail to adhere to the law. This principle requires not only that individuals have enforceable rights against data users, but also that individuals have recourse to courts or a government agency to investigate and/or prosecute non-compliance by data processors.
